Ram Charan to attend Yevadu US premiere

Ram Charan is planning to attend the US premiere of his film Yevadu. He has taken up this decision to assert his star status in US and prove his mettle at overseas collections. Right now record for the highest overseas collection is in the name of Mahesh Babu, with his ‘Seethamma..vakitlo..sirimalle..chettu’ collecting about Rs 10 crores. It is said, Ram Charan is determined to break that record with Yevadu.

In fact Ram Charan had fond memories of overseas collections with his magnum opus Maghadheera collecting about 5 crores. But Charan fell out of the race later. It seems he is determined to regain his supremacy at overseas and therefore decided to attend the premiere of Yevadu and catch up with the fans. US premier of Yevadu may take place in June or July. Vamsi Paidipally is directing this action entertainer. Dil Raju is the producer. Shruthi Hasan and Amy Jackson play female leads opposite Ramcharan.

According to reliable sources from Telugu Desam Party and Pawan Kalyan’s inner circle, it is said that Pawan Kalyan has met TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu. Even Nagababu was also present in the meeting which lasted for an hour. Though Pawan termed it as a courteous visit in view of Chandrababu completing his ‘Vasthunna..mee..kosam’ padayatra, important political matters have come up in the meetings it seems.

Hyd woman techie gangraped in MP

A woman techie of Hyderabad was gang raped in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, when she went to appear in a family dispute .

Police said, some persons gang raped her when she went to a family court in connection with a dispute. The victim informed the police that, when she was going along with a friend in the Katni area, two motorcycle-borne assailants took her away to an uninhabited place and raped her.

This happened when her friend was walking ahead of her while talking on his mobile phone. Stating that she lost her consciousness, the techie said the assailants raped her again after she recovered and decamped leaving her to fate at the place.

Police who registered a case under Nirbhaya Act are looking for the assailants and the girl’s friend who have gone untraced since then.

Telugu comedian Ali has been conferred with Honorary doctorate by Academy of Universal Global Peace. A top comedian and a familiar name in Telugu households, Ali is on cloud nine for earning this honour. Sharing his joy on receiving this honour, Ali said that it’s because of his father Mohammad Basha he got actively involved in charity and social service activities. Therefore he dedicated the honour to his father. Ali has been successfully running an NGO Mohammad Basha Charitable Trust for the past 10 years. Ali has more than 800 films to his credit as a comedian and hero. He will receive this doctorate on May 25 at Coimbatore.
