Love stories are evergreen. If directors show little bit of novelty youth audience will lap up love stories. With that hope Varun Sandesh is not moving away from love stories. Though young heroes of his age tried other genres, Varun has completely stick to love stories genre. He is coming up with another love story ‘Saradaga ammayitho’ this Friday. Nisha Agarwal is acting as heroine opposite him. Bhanu Shankar is the director. Pattikonda Kumaraswamy is producing this youth flick. Let’s find out what Saradaga Ammayitho offers us.

*Varun Sandesh and Nisha Agarwal teamed up for the first time in ‘Yemaindi ee vela’. Nisha Agarwal debuted with that film. Varun and Nisha’s chemistry clicked in that movie. They are once again appearing as a pair in Sardaga ammayitho. Movie unit is confident that their chemistry will repeat once again and create magic.

*Director Bhanu Shankar’s previous film Raju Maharaju though did not click at box office, earned him good name as director. Bhanu shankar is determined to prove his talent at box office this time.

*Saradaga ammayitho is a romantic love story. All the tender moments between a boy and girl, right from the moment they fall in love at first sight to their eventual love journey have been shown in an interesting way in this movie. Besides to that, twist in love story will impress audience it seems.

*Nisha is wooing youngsters in trailers and posters. Especially the still in which Varun fastens Nisha blouse’s hooks has become hot topic. It has to be seen how many hot bits like these are there in the movie.

*Mumaith Khan is going to entertain Telugu movie goers after a long gap. Saradaga ammayitho also boasts of a jumbo comedy team with members like Brahmanandam, Ali, MS Narayana, Venu Madhav, Suman, among others.

*Singer Ravi Varma is debuting as music director with this movie. As it is his first movie, it is said that he has done a good job.

*If Saradaga Ammayitho mixes love and entertainment in proper proportions like Gundejaari gallathayyinde, it may stand at box office. It has to be seen what this Friday has in store for Varun Sandesh.

Something Something Review: Heartful laughs

Audience today have matured a lot. They know what to expect from a movie. They have their own demands from a film. But that does not mean they look out for something sensational or extraordinary in a movie. Just a little bit of story and little bit of entertainment is enough to impress them. But that does not even also mean, they will settle for inferior content and presentation. If director can mix story and entertainment in proper proportions and presents it impressively, they will lap it up. But that’s not an easy job. Sundar C has done that difficult job perfectly in Something Something. Let’s find out what does Something Something has in store for movie lovers

Story

Kumar (Siddharth) an IT professional stays away from females in his office and even requests his bosses not to put him in teams that include females. Kumar avoids females and turns female hater after he had bad experiences with them since his childhood.

However his life takes sudden change after he meets Sanjana (Hansika), a new employee in his organisation. Though he falls for her, he couldn’t express himself due to fear and in the meantime, he faces competition from his charming and handsome colleague George (Ganesh Venkatraman). To win sanjana he in his desperation meets Love Guru Premji (Brahmanandam). What happens next should be enjoyed on screen.

Performance

Siddharth came with a neat performance. He looked like Lover Boy once again with his cute looks and expressions. Hansika is a big disappointment in the film as she looked older to Siddharth. Even in songs she disappointed a lot. Her role did not have scope to perform.

Brahmanandam is excellent and created laughing riot as Love Guru Premji. Minus Brahmanandam, the film has nothing to see. Samantha in her little role thrilled all, while Rana came and supported Brahmi.

Technical

Editing could have been better in the second half. None of the songs is enjoyable. Cinematography is ok. Director could have created some romantic comedy scenes between Hansika and Siddharth.

Analysis

Director Sunder chose a script which is routine. However he tried to treat it differently, giving comedy flavor to it. In the first half, his treatment is ok as Brahmanandam’s comedy made everyone forget the other drawbacks. The moment he went and the director came to the story and tried to bring it down to the logical conclusion, his drawbacks came out into open.

Director failed to create interest in the film with lack of romantic scenes and love elements between Hansika and Siddharth. Simple storyline and predictable climax are the drawbacks. Though the climax seemed ok, nearing towards it like pregnant experiencing pains.

Except for Brahmanandam, Something Something has ‘Nothing’ new for movie lovers.

A leading food manufacturer in Japan recently printed his photo on its biscuit packets and named the product after him as a tribute to the actor’s popularity in the country.
