They desperately want to win, for they know that not coming to power in 2014 will sound death knell for TDP, and its supporters. So, in their desperation they targeted late Dr. YSR, and Jagan, their family because they know fully well that it would be only Jagan that is standing in their path of dreams. They went as far as helping Sonia led Congress party to jail Jagan, in the hope that Jagan’s arrest would cripple YSRCP. It did not happen and in fact YSRCP gathered more strength after his arrest, as people started clearly seeing the conspiracy and collusion of TDP and Congress. Arrival of Vijayamma and Sharmila made the matters worse for TDP, forcing them to go hard after the women of YSR family. TDP does not seem to understand that every deriding comment of Chandrababu, Lokesh, Revanth, Mothkupalli, and Varla Ramayya on YSR family loses thousands of votes.

The simple truth that TDP and its followers don’t happen to see is that the Congress governments, after ten straight years of ruling in the center as well as in the state are facing extreme anti-establishment sentiments and they are bound to lose massively, come 2014.

The credible opposition parties would easily win the people’s mandate. TDP, in the state, had not acted as the main opposition party that it has been, by its single minded focus on tarnishing YSR and Jagan, instead of championing people and their issues. Their lame excuses for not supporting the no-confidence motion on the state government made people dumbstruck. So, instead of becoming the choice for anti-establishment, TDP forced itself to become part of the establishment! This has caused the most damage to their prospects and its showing in every kilometer of Chandrababu’s padayaatra, with open rebellion, desertions at the local and state level. But, nothing has changed fundamentally for TDP and Chandrababu, even though they claims are different. If they are true to their claims, they would have forced the Speaker to disqualify the rebel MLAs and gone for the elections. Simple as that! This has set in more desperation in the rank and file, as well as the top leadership of TDP, as they know the real truth.

The survey of C-Voter Times Now and the joy expressed by Chandrababu, other TDP leaders, and overexposure of it in yellow media is one such example of deep desperation.

Most everyone, who follows the politics and trends know that C-Voter survey is completely fake and don’t look scientific at all. The TDP’s desperation to give hope to party cadres and deserting leaders made them laughing stock in front of the people. Chandrababu’s claims that Jagan wave is subsiding as the Times Now survey showed lesser number of seats for YSRCP is ridiculous and comparing apples and oranges, as the initial Nielsen survey (always proved to be more reliable) predicted over 30 MPs for YSRCP. This is in fact comparing apples and oranges, as they are two different organizations and only one of them has credibility.

Chandrababu has been projected as a smart politician by the yellow media, and this latest desperation is unmaking his true mettle. Chandrababu wilts under pressure, and Jagan, who has been under tremendous pressure but, comes out fighting and never flinching even in the direst situations is complete opposite of Chandrababu.

I have a feeling that there will be another cooked up survey by one of the national organizations, fueled by TDP and its cronies and it will show that TDP is improving and YSRCP is declining. If only these organizations would be penalized heavily for publishing biased surveys, they would be more careful.

Whatever surveys predict, the truth remains crystal clear with the masses. I would be stunned if YSRCP loses even one MP seat in Seemandhra’s 25 and not win more than five out of 17 in Telangana. YSRCP will win at least 140 MLA seats in Seemandhra and will be second in the seats they lose, which translates to complete sweep of MP seats there. It is also doing very well, per independent internal surveys show that YSRCP is doing well in Khammam, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Medak, Hyderabad, and parts of Mahboobnagar, Warangal, and Kareemnagar.

Simple truth is that Congress is losing heavily, TDP is not ready to cash this and letting YSRCP win. TDP should not depend on fake surveys, and start working on gaining confidence of people that they lost long back. The lack of credibility in Chandrababu’s leadership and personality has cause them to lose all of over 60 bi-elections and deposits in more than half of them! Till TDP repairs the damage caused by their support for sitting Congress government, collusion with Congress party, caste zealousness and looking down on other communities, more and more communities would be moving away from it and defeats keep coming at a faster rate and bigger in size!

According to inside reports, it is heard that the AP industrial belt has taken a death blow due to the ongoing power cuts. The report has also revealed that nearly 70 percent of industries in Andhra Pradesh are shutting down due to power cuts. Farah and Boman are essaying the role of a middle-aged Parsi couple in Bhansali’s next. Reportedly, Farah is also on a strict diet regime to shed extra kilos for her role. Farah would also be showing her dancing skills in her upcoming movie and certainly has demanded filmmaker Bhansali to arrange some other choreographer who will guide her. The film has already gone on floors and about to release by this year-end.

Speaking at the World Marathi Literary meet at Virar organised by local MLA Kshitij Thakur, the veteran actor said he never understood politics.

The people of Vasai were hopeful that he would return to politics after a sabbatical but the popular actor put an end to all the speculations and called it a day.

“Politics was never in our blood and in our family..I will never return to it,” he said adding that he would never forget that Virar was his ‘Karmabhoomi’.

The 48-year-old had joined the Congress and was elected as an MP for the Mumbai North Constituency of Maharashtra, in the Lok Sabha elections in 2004, after defeating Ram Naik of the BJP. In 2009, he took a break from politics to concentrate more on his films. His constituency was succeeded by Sanjay Nirupam.

Heard your waist measures 29 and a half inches! Thank you, yes I’ve got my waist back in 62 days flat. And to think that just two months ago I had hit rock bottom mentally. I had a slipped disc and was in anguish. I couldn’t lift my arm for a clothes trial. Dad was worried. We thought we’d defer Krrish-3. In self-pity I was gorging on brownies and chocolates. Then something within me said – ‘I’m not giving in.’ I got one of the finest doctors in the world to examine me and the physiotherapy sessions began. I was in anguish but I told myself if I give up today, I may just give it all up.

What did you waist measure then? 36 and half inches! I couldn’t zip the Krrish-3 jacket or trousers.

What is your current mantra? I don’t know whether you can call it a mantra. But the golden word for me is `initiative.’ It is all about taking that first step when you are down and out. We are all normal; we’re the same. I want everyone out there to know that I wasn’t born with the perfect measurements. I had to work towards getting this dream body.

Are birthdays special or routine? Oh they are always special. I feel blessed every single day. I am happy that I have some really beautiful people around me. And I thank God each day for giving me the awareness and ability to take control of my life. That’s my gift.

Is Agneepath making you nervous? I am more excited than nervous. I like Karan Malhotra. He was an AD on Jodhaa Akbar. Here he was the one whose instructions I was following. Agneepath is his vision.

Aamir Khan and Farhan Akhtar both admire you for going from Guzaarish to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara; Agneepath to Krrish! Are you flattered? I am humbled. That Aamir and Farhan both hugely successful and creative people should have a kind word for me, makes me happy. I am an adventurer and an explorer. For me doing the same thing over and over again spells doom.

Is there anything else you wish to ask God for? Yeah I have a lot of questions for him. I want to keep pushing my potential as a performer and a human being to the optimum. I’m hoping that when I’ve evolved enough, God will answer the many questions I have in store for him.

Former Rajya Sabha member and Actor Mohan Babu, who is always known for speaking his mind, expressed his displeasure over the poor arrangements made by TTD.

“For the first time since many years, I’m going home after visiting a temple with a bitter feeling. There is only one thing I can say right now, we must first respect the people in our family. Who were being respected in Tirumala? If I ask the TTD Offcials to open the files, then the truth will come out in no time.

But, I don’t want to go to that extent and I don’t want to talk much about it. I’m sorry for that,” Mohan Babu said to the mediapersons, referring to the TTD officials giving more preferance to the Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahai over him during the darshan.

Though the TTD Officials tried to cover the damage saying only 4,000 VIP passes were issued, the actual number seem to be double or triple to that. The heavy rush at the hill shrine resulted in causing severe inconvenience to everyone. The TTD need to take immediate and effective steps to prevent such incidents from happening again.

What triggered Vamsi to write the novel?  “I grew up in a small village near Rampachodavaram in East Godavari district.  I relished my childhood memories, thanks to my sister.  Just as the popular writer Ravi Shastri searched for Rachakonda, I took embarked on a journey to my village.  However, the physiology of the village is now completely transformed.  I could not locate the house where I grew up.  It was when I decided to pen Manyam Rani”, an unsentimental Vamsi said.
